Inexpensive Eyeglasses

February3

I wouldn’t recommend this site except that I know several people who have ordered from here and have been thrilled with the results. At Zenni Optical you can get eyeglasses for as low as $8!! This is a great resource, especially if you are buying glasses for children who tend to lose and break glasses fairly often.

You will still need to get your eye exam done by a local optician, but can then use your prescription to order glasses online. I wear contacts but will definitely be making use of Zenni Optical for my backup lenses. As is, I generally let them lag several prescriptions behind, simply because I hate spending so much for something I wear so minimally. Now I can even afford to buy some fun, fashionable lenses!

What about you? Have you used Zenni Optical? Do you have another tip for inexpensive eye care?

My husband and I have ordered glasses from Zenni, and they will keep getting our business as long as they are around! As a matter of fact, the half-rim glasses that I am wearing on my twitter and facebook profile pic are from there, and they are my favorite pair!

WOW! This sounds amazing! I have needed to get my eyes checked but the thought of the expense to GET the glasses has been really putting me of. Now, I can make an appointment and my husband’s wallet can breathe a sigh of relief! :> )

Yup, we’ve used them. My husband’s current eyeglasses are from this website. The downside is you can’t try things on, but you save a ton of money. The quality is great and we even got magnetic sunshades with them – for a small fee. We plan on placing another order very soon for a backup pair for my daughter.

I have used Zenni Optical too. They were great AND fast! The only downside is that you can’t try them on first, but if you try glasses on at other places you know what you like and what fits your face. I got a pair of fully custom (with all the add-ons) plus a pair of prescription sunglasses, plus shipping for $90. At a typical retailer that would definitely cost over $400!

Our family started using Zenni Optical last year and am so thankful to have been provided this low cost resource.

Our son went through 6 pairs of glasses and at $8/pr, we still spent less than the first pair we purchased through the Dr office!

I do suggest to those who purchase wire frames to purchase a few extra during your first order and request they pre-loosen the screws to make changing over lenses easier. We had an issue that was immediately resolved by the company, but had to send them back to get it done.

    I highly recommend Zenni Optical!

I LOVE Zenni Optical! I ordered three pairs of glasses – one were sunglasses – and paid less than $50 for ALL of them. I wear them on a daily basis. This is the only site I’ll be buying from in the future.

I’ve actually bought several pairs of glasses online. We have only purchased once from Zenni and they were made wrong according to my local optician and Zenni would only reimburse us half. But I have bought probably 7 pairs from coastalcontacts.com and they have been fantastic each time. Glassyeyes is a blog that reviews and shares deals for online glasses manufacturers. I’ve gotten some great deals going through them. http://glassyeyes.blogspot.com/

I, too, just recently bought some glasses for my son who lost the pair that I paid almost $200 for! I was very impressed with how easy it was to order a pair of glasses from their website. It was also great to have them delivered right to us in just a week or so. My son is thrilled with his new glasses and the cool case they came in, etc. and you really cannot tell that I paid a fraction of the price for them. I will definitely be buying all of his glasses from Zenni from here on out.

We bought some glasses from another cheap mail order and though it was a good deal, we had bought them for our son and children tend to be abusive to their glasses and need to have them adjused-OFTEN. Most places will not adjust your glasses if you did not buy them from them, so that was a big problem, so we will not do it again, but maybe for my husband, I or the older children.

I was so thankful to a friend that told me about Zenni Optical. I had to go to progressive lenses a few years ago and spent $350 at another eye glass place for one pair of glasses. About a year and a half ago I needed to get a stronger presciption, plus my other glasses were scratched up pretty bad, but did not have the money to go buy another pair. I went to Zenni’s website and ordered TWO pairs of glasses with all kinds of extras, including one with strong tinting just for sunglasses for under $110.00. I was so thrilled to find a place that I can now afford to purchase glasses. I highly recommend them.
