Family Memories
Do you have many family memories this year? How can you keep up with all those memories?
I found a really neat tutorial this week that can be fun for the whole family. Or better yet, let each child make one for their own memories!
All you need is a clear ornament, some construction paper, pretty ribbon, and then however you want to decorate it on the outside.
Writing down your family memories is a great way to reminisce about all the fun you have had over the year. It is also a good time to reflect on your struggles and how the Lord brought you through each one. You can use this as a time to get a great conversation going over dinner, or use it as a family evening fun time.
Once you have your memories down, you can follow this tutorial I found at The Crafters File Box for making a Family Memories Ornament. Here is the finished product:
What are some of your favorite memories?

I remember going to the tree farm to cut our own tree. It took forever to choose the perfect one–just tall enough and soft enough–one full enough and straight enough and shaped just so. (We could never seem to find one without a dreaded bare spot.) We’d cut the tree with a saw. The proprietor would take a polaroid snapshot of all of our family seated in an old sleigh. Then we’d tie our precious tree to the top of the car and hurry home for decorating party with hot cider and candy canes and homemade fudge. We’d get out the favorite old ornaments and the lights and the nativity set and put on some Christmas music.
