Carpet Cleaner~Guest Blogger Lisa
So, are you getting the homestead all tidy for Thanksgiving?
If you have carpeting, you know it can get dirty and well. . gross. Here is an all natural cleaning idea to get those carpets freshened up!
Carpet Cleaner
Find yourself an empty sprayer bottles(if you don’t have an empty one lying around the house you can purchase one at the dollar store for $1.00. Fill it with 2 cups of hot water and 2 tablespoons of baking soda. Shake well and spray over the carpets lightly. Let it sit for awhile and then vacuum over all the areas you sprayed. This freshens up the carpeting without those toxic, dusty powders or those terribly toxic carpet cleaners!
I like to add essential oils to this mixture to kill germs and add a nice scent too! You can add 20 drops of lavender essential oil, or any essential oil that has anti-bacterial properties in it. Those will work in this too!
Another thing you can do is take a cotton ball, dab some of your favorite essential (or fragrance) oil on to it, and put it directly into your vacuum bag! This will scent your whole home as you vacuum!
Happy Homekeeping!
