Solar Ovens

August25

In my “Take a Technology Break” newsletter, I posted about making your own solar oven. One of our readers wrote in and shared this, so I thought I would share it with you!

We did the solar pizza oven on a day that was 104 degrees. It only took 15 minutes for our smores to be done. The kids had a great time making the oven and then seeing and eating the yummy results of their efforts. It was a great learning experience.

The below were sent in by Cheryl of the Tulsa Area Homeschoolers group who had a blast making their ovens at a homeschool group meeting.

And here’s one just for the “Awww…” factor!

Thanks to all who shared!
